SENIOR GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER [remote]

Gamera Interactive is on the hunt for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join the team.  As a Senior Programmer you will:

• Help the Producer, Game Director, design team, and other discipline leads translate vision into gameplay through rapid prototyping and iterative agile development
• Work with Production to maintain roadmaps
• Be responsible for implementing new and exciting gameplay features within a multiplayer environment
• Be required to effectively manage your own time and workload, support junior members of the team and enforce good development practices
• Work collaboratively with an experienced team of passionate game developers
• Work with other disciplines to deliver great-looking and fun games
• Knowledge of Xbox One/PlayStation 4 workflow and TRCs

We're looking for someone who has:

• At least 5 years of professional game development experience
• At least two shipped titles on console (Xbox One, PlayStation 4)
• Experienced and proficient in C++
• Ability to write clear, maintainable and portable code
• Ability to analyse performance and optimise code for CPU, memory and bandwidth usage
• Ability to estimate work complexity and time costs
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of game-development related mathematics - Knowledge of technical documentation and testing
• A love for RPG games & old school isometric stuff
• English language fluency (written/spoken)
• A positive attitude, enthusiasm for your job and responsiveness to any situation

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience with Unity 3D at source code level (Unreal Engine 4 experience is also appreciated)
• Multiplatform development experience
• Professional development experience on real-time networked multiplayer games
• Experience with multi-threaded development
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics related field
• Experience working in small focused teams
